Born and raised in North Bay, Frank grew up surrounded by family in the hairdressing business. It was this upbringing that drew him into his passion and career. In 1998 Frank opened the first Sportscut at 103 Lakeshore Drive. In 2003 he registered and trademarked Sportscut in Canada. Over his 15 years at his Lakeshore location he built a strong guest portfolio and became the go-to guy in town for the latest cuts. With the shift in economic demographics in North Bay he moved his location to a more central area. Today you can find Frank at the latest & greatest Sportscut location.
Amanda specializes in fades and has extensive experience with a variety of men’s styles, including flat tops; always staying up to date with current trends. Raised in North Bay, Amanda attended Modern College, graduating in 2013. While at school Amanda knew she would specialize in men’s hair and has been working in a barbershop ever since. Amanda is passionate about her trade and has worked diligently in perfecting her skills.
Katelynn was born and raised in North Bay, graduating from Modern College in 2015. While attending school Katelynn decided to specialize in haircutting. Having worked in a barbershop upon graduating, Katelynn quickly found passion in men’s hairstyling and has worked to perfect her trade. Katelynn makes sure to keep up to date on the latest trends and is always on the lookout for new and interesting techniques to add to her skillset.
Marcus graduated from the Aveda Institute in 2014, since then his career has only soared. He started as an assistant with Taz Hair Co. in Toronto and easily transitioned into one of the busiest stylists. He was a finalist for Next Generation L’oreal Color Trophy 2016 and a finalist for New Stylist of the Year 2017 at Contessas as well as finalist for the John Steinberg Community Excellence Award in 2018. Fall 2018 Marcus returned home to North Bay and began working here with us at Sportscut. Marcus has extensive knowledge in executing the best haircut suited for your face shape, and hair texture. Currently Marcus is only accepting existing clientele.
